Fabulous 19th century English cheese dome

£280.00

An amazing English ironstone/ creamware lidded cheese dome that totally stole our hearts with its gorgeous cream colour and the little studs/ belt details. It is wonderful to find both lid and base together as these were often separated. We believe it is dated 1840s to 1860s.

Perfect for a Christmas table! 🎄

The base is 25cm in diameter; the lid is 22cm in diameter. The cheese dome is 28cm tall, and heavy. Two chips at the top (see photos) which add to the character of the piece and are commensurate with its age and use.
