Jacques Zadig was born in Paris in 1930, the son of William Zadig, an established and prolific sculptor. He was educated at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts as well as the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm. He had a successful design career and even produced a series of stamps in the 1980s.
Zadig’s work can be found in the Modern Museum in Stockholm, as well as the British Museum.
